Hello Toronto – Waymo Is En Route

Waymo is launching its autonomous ride-hailing service in Toronto, with plans to welcome its first riders in 2028, beginning with manual driving and high-definition mapping of local streets. The company is partnering with Toronto-based Element Fleet Management and will invest in hundreds of local jobs across fleet maintenance, validation driving, and customer service. Waymo's data shows its autonomous driver was involved in 95% fewer serious injury crashes compared to human drivers in cities where it currently operates.
