Haters

As people become famous, they inevitably attract both obsessive fans and haters—two sides of the same coin. Haters are not simply critics who dislike something and move on, but rather people for whom disliking someone becomes an identity and obsession, leading them to view everything the person does negatively and dismiss their success as fraudulent. This phenomenon appears to be an automatic consequence of fame, fueled by the hater's fixation on the famous person and their need to convince others that their negative assessment is correct.
