Half-Life ported to Mac OS 9
Half-Life has been successfully ported to Mac OS 9 for PowerPC-based Macintosh computers by GitHub user doctashay, using a fork of the Xash3D engine—28 years after the game's original release and 14 years after Valve's Mac OS X version. The port is fully playable from start to finish, includes multiplayer support, and also contains the expansions Blue Shift and Opposing Force, supporting G3 and G4 PowerPC machines running Mac OS 9.0 or later. Performance depends on GPU capabilities, with machines having less than 8MB of VRAM potentially experiencing difficulties.
