Google Workspace is warning Firefox users that they must use Chrome to access the service, though Firefox access currently still works. According to Google support, the warning is limited to workspace admins accessing admin.google.com and is merely a recommendation triggered by the "Prevent access from unsafe devices" security setting, not an actual block. The warning has prompted criticism that Google is unfairly characterizing non-Chrome browsers as insecure to promote its own browser for a paid product.
