Google is expanding its Play Age Signals API globally by the end of 2026, starting with Australia and Canada in mid-August, to help developers deliver age-appropriate content and experiences. The privacy-preserving tool allows parents to share their child's age range once through Google Family Link, which apps can then use to automatically tailor safety settings and content rather than requiring manual configuration in each app. This gives developers flexibility to implement age-appropriate protections suited to their specific app type while simplifying parental controls.
