Google DeepMind Releases AlphaGenome Atlas
Google DeepMind has released AlphaGenome Atlas, a comprehensive database that predicts the effects of all 9 billion possible single nucleotide variants in the human genome by analyzing both coding and non-coding DNA regions. The tool introduces an easy-to-use AlphaGenome Variant Impact (AVI) score that helps researchers prioritize genetic variants for investigation, and is already being used to identify rare disease causes and genetic associations with complex traits like body mass index. The Atlas is now publicly accessible through a web portal requiring no coding skills, democratizing genomic research for scientists worldwide.
