France's tax authority had data stolen on 680k taxpayers

A hacker claimed to have stolen data on approximately 680,000 French taxpayers from the country's tax authority in a breach that occurred in late June, which the administration detected and stopped without public disclosure at the time. The stolen information includes names, dates of birth, addresses, and property registry details for around 390,000 individuals and 285,000 businesses, but does not include passwords or banking information.
