Flock Wants the Most Detailed Map of Its Surveillance Cameras Taken Offline

A cybersecurity researcher published a detailed map revealing that Flock Security operates approximately 300,000 surveillance devices nationwide—significantly more than the company's own claim of 120,000 cameras—including automated license plate readers, acoustic detection devices, and networking equipment. The map, based on Flock's own database coordinates archived in December 2025, was presented at a Senate Subcommittee hearing and raises national security concerns, as critics argue the expansive surveillance network could enable foreign adversaries to track the movements of U.S. military, federal agents, and politicians. Flock has not responded to requests for comment on the findings.
