FDA Approves First in Class Targeted Therapy for Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer

The FDA approved Rasonque (daraxonrasib), a first-in-class RAS inhibitor targeting the most common form of pancreatic cancer, for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma who have received prior treatment. In clinical trials, Rasonque improved median overall survival to 13.2 months compared to 6.7 months with standard chemotherapy, addressing a significant unmet need in a cancer type responsible for a disproportionately high share of cancer deaths.
