Exif Smuggling
Exif Smuggling is a proof-of-concept attack that hides executable payloads within JPG image Exif data, allowing malware to be passively downloaded through browser image caching without making direct internet requests. The attack evolves from cache smuggling techniques and includes tools to embed payloads in images and convert loaders into phishing commands. The method enables second-stage payload delivery by simply extracting it from the browser's cache rather than fetching it from external sources.
