ETH Breaks 11-Month Downtrend Against Bitcoin as $2K Comes Into Focus

Ethereum rallied above $1,900 as ETF inflows and market optimism boosted demand. Breaking $1,953 could accelerate gains toward the key $2,000 resistance. ETH/BTC breakout signals potential outperformance if confirmation above 0.03 BTC follows. Ethereum — ETH, has delivered another strong performance, drawing fresh attention from traders across the crypto market. Strong buying pressure pushed ETH from around $1,800 to nearly $1,945 within a day. Growing optimism across traditional financial markets also helped fuel demand. At the same time, improving technical signals and steady ETF inflows have strengthened the bullish outlook. Many investors now wonder whether Ethereum can finally reclaim the important $2,000 milestone. https://twitter.com/i/status/2079812784704172491 ETF Demand and Technical Strength Support Ethereum ETH gained roughly 6% from the July 21 low and traded near $1,929 during the latest session. A strong rally across U.S. stock markets helped improve investor confidence. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 1.3%, while the S&P 500 added 0.9%. Technology shares led those gains, with Micron jumping more than 12% and Nvidia also finishing higher. Stronger risk appetite spilled into digital assets, giving Ethereum another boost. Institutional demand also remained healthy. According to SoSoValue, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs attracted $37.47 million in net inflows during the latest trading session. BlackRock's ETHA accounted for most of that demand after recording $52.7 million in fresh inflows. Although Fidelity's FETH posted outflows, overall investor interest remained positive. The technical picture also continues improving. Ethereum has traded inside an ascending channel since forming a low near $1,514 during late June. The 20-day simple moving average currently sits around $1,828 and continues providing reliable support throughout the recovery. Holding above that moving average keeps buyers firmly in control. ETH/BTC Breakout Could Strengthen Bullish Momentum Ethereum has also improved against Bitcoin after months of underperformance. Analyst Ted Pillows believes ETH/BTC has broken an 11-month downtrend. Such a move could mark the beginning of stronger relative performance compared with Bitcoin. Other analysts share similar views. MikybullCrypto noted that Ethereum reclaimed the weekly bull market support band against Bitcoin. Daan Crypto Trades added that a sustained move above 0.03 BTC would confirm the breakout. He also identified 0.032 and 0.034 BTC as the next resistance targets. For now, ETH/BTC still trades below that confirmation level. Support remains equally important. Ted Pillows highlighted the $1,870 to $1,900 region as the key defensive zone. Holding above that range could strengthen the case for a rally beyond $2,000. However, losing support near $1,859 could expose Ethereum to further declines toward $1,828 and eventually $1,785. Current momentum continues favoring buyers. Strong ETF inflows, improving technical signals, and healthier market sentiment all support Ethereum's recovery. If buyers clear nearby resistance, the long-awaited move above $2,000 may arrive sooner than many expected.
