ESP32-C3 SuperMini antenna modification
The ESP32-C3 SuperMini's built-in SMD antenna severely limits WiFi range, but a simple modification using a 31mm silver-plated wire configured as a quarter-wavelength antenna significantly improves performance. The wire is bent into a horizontal loop (16mm) with a vertical section (15mm) and soldered to both ends of the original SMD antenna, effectively bypassing it while maintaining compact dimensions. Testing with a custom WiFi logger program confirmed the modified antenna delivers substantially stronger signal strength compared to the unmodified module.
