Early progress on accelerating drug development with Claude

Anthropic has partnered with six biotech organizations and launched its own drug discovery programs to accelerate medicine development using Claude AI. The work spans multiple stages of drug development—from target identification to clinical trial design—rather than focusing solely on molecular design, with early results including a redesigned CAR T-cell therapy component that performed 10 times better in lab tests. Anthropic aims to use these collaborations to identify bottlenecks throughout the drug development process and scale Claude's involvement in pharmaceutical research.
