A reverse engineering project reconstructing the 1989 DOS game F-15 Strike Eagle II from its original binaries into C code has reached v0.9.1 and is now seeking community "test pilots" to identify bugs before a wider release. The project has made rapid progress, completing all code reconstruction and data migration, and the rebuilt executables can replace the originals in the game folder while maintaining compatibility with the original 451.03 version. The developers are looking for bug reports on crashes, graphical glitches, and control issues, while noting that any quirks present in the original game should be preserved as part of a faithful bug-for-bug reconstruction.
