Designing and assembling my first PCB
The author describes their first experience designing and assembling a custom PCB, starting from learning Arduino basics with an ESP32 dev board and progressing to creating a custom BME280 sensor module using KiCad software. Rather than continuing with breadboard prototyping, they decided to design a production-ready PCB that could replicate the functionality of a commercial sensor breakout board by studying component datasheets and learning schematic/PCB design tools.
