Debugging my new network, when 10 Gigabit Ethernet Runs at 300 Megabits

Scott Hanselman debugged why his 10 Gigabit Ethernet network was only achieving 300 megabits per second by running direct network speed tests between devices, isolating the issue to his Windows desktop's Intel network adapter rather than the NAS or storage system. He identified and fixed two problems: increasing the adapter's receive buffers from 512 to 4096, which improved receive throughput from 1.33 to 5.15 Gbit/sec, and disabling Large Send Offload V2 for IPv4, which dramatically increased transmit speeds from 313 Mbit/sec to 7.03 Gbit/sec.
