Dallas startup enriches Uranium

Actinide, a Dallas-based startup, has become the first private company to produce high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) using its own electromagnetic isotope separator machine called a calutron. This breakthrough addresses a critical domestic supply gap, as the Department of Energy says most advanced reactors require HALEU but none is currently available from U.S. suppliers, and Actinide's technology bypasses existing bottlenecks by producing solid HALEU directly rather than requiring additional conversion steps.
