Coreutils for Windows
Microsoft has released a preview version of Coreutils for Windows, a native implementation of standard UNIX command-line utilities for Windows that allows users to run the same commands, scripts, and pipelines across Linux, macOS, WSL, and Windows without modification. The tool is available via WinGet and includes ports of core utilities, findutils, and grep in a single binary, though some commands conflict with existing Windows built-ins and there are Windows-specific caveats like CRLF line endings and lack of POSIX signals.
