Connecting the Machines
Herdr, a tool with over 700,000 downloads, has introduced the ability to connect and manage multiple machines from a single interface in its latest update. Previously, users had to run separate Herdr clients for each machine and switch between terminal tabs to monitor agents; now they can add remote machines via SSH and control all their local and remote agents from one unified terminal UI. This architectural shift required significant changes to how Herdr works, moving UI rendering from the server to the client to allow independent servers to work together.
