Climate is accumulating 4 Hiroshima atomic bombs worth of heat per second

Earth's climate is accumulating heat at a rate equivalent to 4 Hiroshima atomic bombs detonating per second, driven primarily by greenhouse gases from burning fossil fuels. About 90% of this accumulated heat goes into warming the oceans, while the remainder warms the land, atmosphere, and melts ice. This rapid warming over recent decades is predominantly caused by human activity, particularly the emission of billions of tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.
