A Chinese humanoid robot named Lightning completed a 100-meter sprint in 9.32 seconds at the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, surpassing Usain Bolt's world record of 9.58 seconds. The robot, developed by smartphone manufacturer Honor, reached a peak speed of 14.5 meters per second and also won a half marathon earlier this year, as China showcases its rapid advances in robotics technology amid growing competition with the US.
