Alex Yumashev, a long-time Cursor user, cancels his subscription due to mounting frustrations including Cursor's reliance on outdated VSCode versions (7-8 months behind), aggressive promotion of the Agent feature with repeatedly hidden settings, and unresponsive support with bugs remaining unfixed for months. He argues that Cursor's pivot toward agentic workflows doesn't justify its cost when users can access the same underlying AI models directly through alternatives like Claude and Codex.
