Bitcoin trail, Google cookies and Uber Eats orders help tie man to Steam malware

A Florida man named Zyaire Wilkins has been arrested for allegedly stealing over $220,000 in cryptocurrency through malware-infected Steam games distributed between May 2024 and February 2026. Wilkins and his co-conspirators created eight malicious games that infected approximately 8,000 devices and compromised 80 crypto wallets, marketing them on platforms like Discord and Telegram. Federal agents traced him through his cryptocurrency transactions, including Uber Eats gift card purchases bought with stolen crypto, ultimately linking him to the scheme.
