Banned Book Library in a Wi-Fi Smart Light Bulb

A developer created a "Banned Book Library" by hacking WiFi smart light bulbs to function as inconspicuous access points hosting banned books. Using open-source Tasmota firmware on ESP32-based bulbs, the project aims to allow people in book-banning regions to discreetly distribute digital copies of censored literature throughout their communities. The light bulbs serve as cyberpunk "digital dead drops" that are inexpensive, difficult to detect, and can share banned material with anyone nearby who has a WiFi-enabled device.
