Asahi Linux 7.1 addresses critical compatibility issues with macOS 27, including a boot picker problem where Linux installations became inaccessible due to Apple's new requirement for a specific APFS metadata flag. The project also identified and patched a firmware incompatibility with macOS 27's updated SMC firmware that caused incorrect battery status readings and emergency shutdowns, with fixes available through the Asahi Installer and a standalone Linux utility.
