Ars Astronomica – English translations of rare Hebrew and Latin astronomy texts
Ars Astronomica is a scholarly imprint dedicated to producing the first English translations of rare historical Hebrew and Latin texts on astronomy and cosmology, many of which have never been translated or, in some cases, even printed before. The project aims to make these centuries-spanning works accessible together in a single language so readers can see how they cite, answer, and address one another across time. The corpus includes works by figures such as Gersonides, David Gans, Riccioli, and Gassendi, spanning from the 12th century to the 17th century.
