Apple is consolidating Sign in with Apple and Hide My Email aliases to a new @private.icloud.com domain, making it easier for services to identify and block these addresses. This change significantly undermines the privacy benefits of Hide My Email, as many services will likely refuse to accept emails from the easily-identifiable relay domain, similar to how they handle temporary email services. Users currently have an opportunity to generate additional aliases on the original @icloud.com domain before the transition takes effect.
