Announcing .self: A New Top-Level Domain Designed to Support Self-Hosting

The Human-Centered Computing Foundation is launching a campaign to create a new top-level domain called ".self" designed to support self-hosting and ethical, human-centered technology as an alternative to the current web infrastructure dominated by data extraction and attention exploitation. As an approved participant in ICANN's Applicant Support Program, the foundation aims to establish this TLD to shift internet architecture toward more user-controlled and privacy-respecting practices.
