All CERN accelerators now on the road to HiLumi

CERN's injector complex and Antimatter Factory have completed their final beam operations, marking the start of Long Shutdown 3 (LS3)—a major upgrade period that follows the LHC's shutdown in June. During LS3, all accelerators will undergo extensive maintenance, upgrades, and consolidation to prepare for the High-Luminosity LHC era, with the complex progressively restarting from 2028 onwards and the HiLumi LHC resuming operations by mid-2030. The final data collected from the injectors will inform preparations for the next operational run and the comprehensive upgrade work ahead.
