AI-assisted PCB design for KiCad 10

Konnect is a new native KiCad plugin built in Rust that enables AI assistants like Claude to design schematics and PCBs through the Model Context Protocol, offering 228 tools across 21 toolsets for tasks including schematic capture, PCB layout, and manufacturing export. The beta release succeeds the earlier KiCAD-MCP-Server by simplifying the architecture and reducing latency through a single Rust binary instead of multiple language layers. Konnect integrates with a companion tool called Nimrod, a web-research server that provides real-time parts availability and datasheets during the design process.
