Agent Lightning v1.0.1 is Microsoft's first official release of a skill designed to help coding agents optimize other AI agents by systematically improving prompts, tools, workflows, models, and reasoning settings. The tool balances accuracy, cost, latency, and reliability through measured iteration, and can be installed for use with Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot. This release also includes improvements to CI, packaging, documentation, and benchmark reporting.
