A rough guide for going back to the Moon

IBM and NASA have open-sourced the NASA-IBM Lunar Foundation Model, an AI system that integrates decades of lunar data from multiple sources and viewing angles to create the most comprehensive map of the Moon to date. The model will help scientists map small craters, study volcanic history, and locate ice deposits at the lunar poles—critical resources for future astronaut missions and a planned lunar base. This AI framework is designed to support NASA's Artemis program, which aims to establish human presence on the Moon and prepare for eventual Mars exploration.
