After years of frustration with docked laptops failing to wake reliably—a problem that persisted even with Thunderbolt 4 docks like the CalDigit TS4—the author finally resolved the issue in 2025 by replacing their monitor with an ASUS ROG Swift. Since switching monitors, the system now wakes flawlessly in under a second, though the author is unsure whether the solution stems from the old monitor's firmware, wake-up speed, or other factors.
