2027 memory capacity is reportedly sold out

Memory manufacturers Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron have reportedly sold out their entire 2027 DRAM and HBM production capacity to AI companies through long-term purchasing agreements, exacerbating the ongoing RAM shortage and driving up consumer prices. The shortage is also beginning to affect NAND storage and SSDs, with storage prices rising significantly in recent months, while gaming consoles and devices like the Steam Machine are facing price increases due to higher memory costs.
